A Unique Summer Experience: of engaging camp actitives

Campers become young inventors in the great outdoors! They will build shelters, design tools, and solve engineering challenges. Each day is an exciting mission where campers test materials, explore simple machines, and experiment with motion and structure all while learning, playing, and discovering the great outdoors! By the end of the week, they will showcase their inventions in the Great Inventor Challenge, celebrating creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Perfect for campers who love building, experimenting, and exploring nature!

 Splash, explore, and experiment! Campers will follow water through creeks and streams, conduct fun science experiments, build boats, and play water games  all while discovering how water shapes plants, animals, and the land. Each day combines experiments, creative activities, and outdoor adventures, letting campers see and play with water in streams, creeks, and wetlands while learning real science! 

 This week, campers become Animal Architects, exploring how animals live, adapt, and survive in local National Park. Through a combination of hands-on science, creative building, outdoor exploration, and special animal experiences, campers will learn how animals depend on their habitats and how everything in an ecosystem is connected. This week is perfect for children who love animals, hands-on learning, building, and discovery. 

 Can you work as a team to thrive in the great outdoors? Campers will become Wilderness Survivors as they explore Cuyahoga Valley National Park, learning real outdoor skills like building shelters, navigating trails, and solving survival-style challenges. Each day features hands-on missions, teamwork games, and problem-solving adventures that help campers build confidence, resilience, and a love for the outdoors, all in a fun and supportive environment. 

 This week, campers become Time Travelers as they explore how the land, water, plants, and rocks of the park have changed over time.Campers will dig into hands-on geology experiments, create layered soil jars, examine rocks and fossils, and model erosion and glaciers to see how the land was shaped. On hikes through the park, they’ll look for real-life clues like hills, valleys, and creek beds that tell the story of the land’s past. Using maps, models, and creative projects, campers will be able to see how nature changes slowly over time. Time Travelers is a week full of discovery, imagination, and outdoor exploration, helping campers understand that the park around them is a living story that’s still being written today. 

 Campers will investigate real scientific phenomena in fun and interactive ways. They might create a rain cloud in a jar to see how precipitation forms, spin a tornado in a bottle to observe vortexes, or test how different materials hold up in wind as they design storm-resistant umbrellas. They’ll experiment, test ideas, and see cause-and-effect in action, all while spending time outdoors and exploring the park. From wind to rain, clouds to storms, they’ll explore how nature moves and changes using hands-on experiments, outdoor observation, and creative STEM challenges. 

 STEMlympics is a high-energy, hands-on week where campers explore science, engineering, and teamwork through exciting “Olympic-style” challenges in the great outdoors. STEMlympics is perfect for campers who love movement, creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. It’s a fun, action-packed week that combines friendly competition, STEM experiments, and outdoor adventure that make learning active, engaging, and memorable.
