Hello! I'm Rebecca Rae Freedom, your Kids Program Director and Mentor for Parenting at True North 4 Kids! As a mom, educator, engineer, and life coach, I crafted these kids' events and summer camp with a vision for an exceptional experience for kids to get outdoors to grow and explore. After being disappointed by past local camps, I drew on my teaching, engineering, and nature-loving background to create an engaging, educational haven for ALL kids to enjoy. Also, I saw disconnection between the kids and camp counselors at past camps and wanted much more for my kids, which led to True North Expedition Summer Camp and Kids Night Out being dreamt and born.
My focus is on active participation in nature through various activities, games, and experiments, ensuring a summer that's both fun and educational. Join me in fostering your child's love for STEM, leadership, nature, and the great outdoors. Your support fuels my commitment to nurturing future leaders through exploration and connection with science and nature. I would be thrilled to have your child join the group for a unique and uplifting experience at True North Expedition Summer Camp and Kids Night Out events where a kid can adventure outside instead of being in front of a screen or media!

Hello! My name is Kaley Prill and I’m thrilled to be working with your child at True North Summer Camp! This is my third year working at the camp and I’m so excited to imagine, create, experiment, and be outdoors with your child!
Camp is truly the highlight of my summer, and I hope to make it the highlight of your child’s summer too! In this digital age where children are easily entertained with screens, I have seen firsthand how camp allows “kids to be kids” and gives them the opportunity to activate their minds beyond the screens. From playing in the creek, making sculptures out of mud, creating art with leaves, building inventions out of recyclable materials, and more, camp gives your child the space to play while also learning.
Outside of camp I’m a Middle Childhood Education major at Bowling Green State University where I am working to become a 4th-9th grade English and Science teacher. It is my greatest goal to help kids enjoy learning, and nature is the best classroom to practice that! Even though I am the teacher, I believe that the kids can teach me as well. Every year I am in awe of how creative and talented the campers are. They inspire me and make me excited to show up fully present every morning.
When I’m not cheering your child on in camp activities, you can find me hiking, reading, or exploring a new place! Most importantly though, I’m passionate about creating a fun, safe, and inclusive environment where everyone can make new friends, learn new skills, and build lasting memories.

Hi! My name's Alyson Wakeen and I'm excited to help your child learn, play, and connect with nature this Summer. As a naturalist and shinrin yoku (forest bathing) practitioner I blend scientific insight and deep reverence for the natural world to create experiences that foster space for aw, wonder, and "aha!" moments. I believe nature is the greatest teacher and the best classrooms have no walls.
I’ll be dropping in True North 4 Kids Summer Camp weekly to invoke curiosity on nature walks, foster mindfulness with kid-friendly practices, and overall instill a love for the natural world as we explore and learn together!

Hi, my name is Angie Stone and I am a recently retired Art Teacher who has taught K-4 & high school aged humans for over 36 years. I believe in the importance of fostering creativity through experiences in nature and problem solving.
One of my favorite things to do is inspire ingenuity in my students through repurposing found objects and the use of natural resources. I can often be found spending time with my three youngest grandchildren and loving every minute of it!
This year I will be leading art lessons at True North 4 Kids Summer Camp weekly. I look forward to fostering an environment where kids can explore, image, and create through art!
